Horseback Riding in Saguaro National Park

Ride through the Tanque Verde and Saguaro National Park where the saguaro cacti stand tall on Tucson’s northeast side, surrounded by the Rincon Mountains. With our knowledgeable Wranglers as your guides, you will not only explore the beauty of the desert landscape, but also gain insights into the local fauna. What sets our adventure apart is our exceptional team of horses–most are retired rodeo horses. With a stable of well-trained and seasoned horses, we will match you with the horse tailored to your skill level. We have horses for the first-time rider and for the advanced horseman.

Note: Roundtrip transportation provided with bottled water.
Attire: We ride through the desert and often get close to cactus and brush, so it is recommended that all riders wear long pants and closed toe shoes. As Arizona is sunny, we encourage bringing a hat, sunglasses, and wearing sunscreen.

Tucson Art Walk & Leo Kent Design Tour

Experience the best of two creative worlds: A curated design tour of the new Leo Kent Hotel and a local art walk. Take in Tucson’s vibrant art-scape with the Downtown Art + Mural Tour guided by Dorothy Yanez, a native Tucsonan, career hotelier, and renowned author. The walk begins at the Presidio Museum and winds its way through downtown, showcasing art pieces and murals along the way. Your tour continues with a touch of luxury at the newly opened Leo Kent Hotel, a Marriott Tribute Portfolio boutique property located in the iconic One South Church building. Start with a design briefing by Eric Ianuzi, Senior Interior Design Manager of Marriott International’s Premium Distinctive collection and design lead on the project, followed by design walkthrough, and beverages and light bites provided by the Leo Kent Hotel.

18 Holes of Golf at the Ventana Canyon Club | Mountain & Canyon Golf Courses

Onsite Experience
Enjoy a round of golf at one of the Ventana Canyon’s 18-hole, championship-style courses. Both Mountain and Canyon courses are the designs of acclaimed architect Tom Fazio, voted “Best Modern-Day Golf Course Architect”. Both courses lay across 600-acre desert preserve surrounded by beautiful views of the Santa Catalina Mountains and fairways rich with regional desert cacti. Golfers of all levels are welcome, and foursomes are comprised of fellow Summiteers. Golf cars are included in green fees.

Pickleball Meetup

Experience America’s fastest growing sport! Combining the elements of tennis, badminton, and ping pong, pickleball can be enjoyed by all players—novice and expert alike. Your experience includes a round-robin of games and matches with other pickleball-loving Summiteers—Sponsors and Delegates. Racquets are provided complimentary, or bring your own.

Tennis Meetup

Take your swings at the Loews Ventana Canyon tennis courts, with round-robin matches with fellow Summiteers. Among three courts, enjoy a quick pro-led clinic and warmup, followed by doubles and singles play. Racquets are provided complimentary, or bring your own.

Culinary Experience + Tasting With Executive Chef Alex Panontin

Participate in an exclusive cooking class led by Loews’ executive chef Alex Panontin for a truly exceptional gastronomic experience! Through the class, you will master the art of creating a craft cocktail, learn the cutting-edge techniques of yuzu caviar spherification in molecular gastronomy, and witness chef Panontin’s living salt demo. This demonstration reveals the science behind the exothermic reaction to enhance flavors. Your experience concludes by showcasing your plating of the entrée creations! Glass Blowing at the Sonoran Glass School

Immerse yourself in the world of glassblowing at the Sonoran Glass School, where artistic expression knows no bounds! In our hands-on glassblowing experience, you are invited to unleash your creativity and bring your glass creation to life. Guided by our skilled instructors, you will have the opportunity to design, color, and craft your very own glass paperweight. The expert guidance of our instructors ensures that you master the art of reheating the glass and using specialized tools to create your piece.

Note: Limited to 15 people. Your finished glass works will be packaged and shipped directly to your home after a couple days of cooling. Roundtrip transportation provided.
Recommend attire: In addition to closed toe shoes, please wear comfortable clothing and something to tie back long hair. Avoid overly loose clothing or dangling accessories such as long necklaces.

Whiskey Tour at Whiskey Del Bac

Save a seat at the Hamilton Distillers Tasting room, home of the award-winning Whiskey Del Bac. We offer an immersive experience into the art of creating America’s finest single malts. As you are guided into the distillery, you will learn about the intricate process from malting to fermentation and distillation. Stephen Paul, founder of Whiskey Del Bac, will walk you through each stage, sharing the secrets that go into producing our award-winning whiskeys. Following the tour, you will be guided through a comprehensive tasting of our whiskeys: Classic, Dorado, Sentinel, and take a sneak peek into limited releases. You will learn the complexity and nuance of tasting American single malts in a fun and engaging way.

Hiking Tour: Green Mountain Trail at Mt. Lemmon

Offsite Experience
Explore the Green Mountain Trail at Mt. Lemmon, one of the highest points in the Santa Catalina Mountains. You will be joined by a naturalist guide for a moderate 6.3 mile out-and-back hike that offers awe-inspiring scenery via 1,919-feet elevation gain. The trail treats hikers to breathtaking views of southern Arizona, including its sky islands and vast valleys. As you ride to your starting point, expert guides will enlighten you about the diverse flora, unique geography, and geology of the Sonoran Desert.

Recommended attire: Hiking boots or closed-toe shoes with good tread (mandatory), comfortable casual clothing, sunscreen, and hat. (Please in layers as desert temperatures can change quickly.)

Jeep Tour: Desert Ecology Tour

Offsite Experience
Embark on a ride-along adventure with our open-air Jeep tours through the trails of the Sonoran Desert. Our knowledgeable guides, well-versed in local history and desert ecology, will walk you through the history of the flora, fauna, and geology of the Sonoran Desert. Breathtaking sightseeing of the giant saguaro, cholla, and prickly pear cacti are all set against the mountain backdrops, as well as the vibrant desert wildflowers. During the tour, you will have an opportunity to step out of the Jeep for interactive talks, demonstrations, and even encounter some desert creatures close up (for the brave at heart!).

Recommended attire: Closed-toe walking shoes such as athletic shoes (no sandals, flip-flops, or heels permitted), comfortable casual clothing, sunscreen, and hat. (Please wear layers as desert temperatures can change quickly.)
